From time to time, people contact me to alert me to things that would interest senior citizens.

Recently, Theresa Artley of Addus Health Care alerted me to the AID AND ATTENTION PENSION BENEFIT FOR SENIOR CITIZEN VETERANS.

Under this program, a firm that provides home care for senior citizens can be paid by the federal government for providing that care to a senior citizen veteran.

This could be a big help to people who want some home health care for an aging parent who is a veteran. What might not be affordable without this benefit could suddenly become affordable.

So, if you or a loved one needs some home health care and the person needing the help is a veteran, check on the AID AND ATTENTION PENSION BENEFIT from the Veterans Administration.

In the case of Theresa Artley and Addus Health Care, that firm would assist a veteran to apply for the benefit. The phone number of Addus Health Care is 888-233-8746. Other firms probably provide the same services. But, I wanted to give credit to Theresa Artley for bringing to my attention this obscure veterans’ benefit.
