On November 15, 2016, a client from Chicago brought a bill to me and asked me why he got the bill. I made a copy of the bill and started researching it.

His insurance company informed me that it never got claims from Medicare for six dates of service with the medical office that billed our client. So, I wrote a letter to the medical service provider and explained that our client’s Medicare supplement insurance company never got the claims from Medicare.

I reminded the medical office that this was not the fault of our client, his insurance company, or their office. It was Medicare’s fault. I told them that the easiest and quickest way to fix this problem was for their office to send essential bill information to our client’s insurance company.

I am confident that when that is done, the $700 will be paid by the insurance company and our client’s bill problem will be resolved. All the help that I gave this client was FREE OF CHARGE. This insurance agency distinguishes itself from others by helping our clients with such problems. Does your insurance agent or agency give this high level of service to senior citizen clients?
